In 2016, Lubbock Power & Light (LP&L) began the process of moving their load and generation from Southwest Power Pool (SPP) into Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). This transition required ~5 years and $481 million to complete the significant amount of transmission and substation work. LP&L typically built $10 million in annual capex, so this program required dramatic changes in their resources. They contracted with Principle Services, LLC to act as their Project Management Office (PMO), helping them guarantee adherence to scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
Hunt Energy Network (HEN) is actively developing energy storage infrastructure to be integrated with the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). These grid interconnected Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects will provide grid enhancing support, balance generation and load, and empower users with cleaner, more reliable energy. Ultimately, up to fifty (50) BESS projects will be deployed and interconnected to the ERCOT grid over five (5) years.
This client has elected to utilize Principle Services Environmental as a third-party stormwater compliance inspector. We serve as a neutral party, acting in the client’s best interests, to monitor and report on stormwater compliance using innovative and efficient reporting tools. Conducting these third-party inspections from mobilization through final stabilization is a proactive way to mitigate risk associated with compliance violations.
